Flecia Braswell is a fifth generation Tallahasseean whose connection to the Seminole family began when her great grandmother attended the Seminary West of the Suwannee. She graduated from Florida State in 1986 with a bachelor’s in political science and is currently a marketing and public relations consultant working in the Tallahassee area, where she also serves as a community volunteer.
In her career, Ms. Braswell has worked for Florida Secretary of State Jim Smith, Sprint and most recently served as chief brand officer for Capital City Bank Group, a NASDAQ traded financial institution headquartered in Tallahassee.
In addition to the FSU Alumni Association National Board of Directors, her service to Florida State includes serving on the boards of the Seminole Boosters, Opening Nights and the College of Human Sciences. She is a member of the President’s Club and is a Golden Chief.
Ms. Braswell has held leadership positions with United Way of the Big Bend serving as board chair, and is the current chair of Women United. She has also served on the boards of Leadership Florida, Leadership Tallahassee, the Tallahassee Chamber, Economic Development Council and the Tallahasee Memorial Hospital Foundation. She is a founding board member of, and advisor to, the Community Foundation of North Florida.
