David Brobst is a 1986 graduate of FSU with a Master of Business Administration. Prior to that, he received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Maryland at College Park in 1976, where he was active in many areas, including a membership in Phi Delta Theta Fraternity.
Mr. Brobst moved to Tallahassee in 1979 and served as Assistant City Engineer until 1987. He is a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.). During his 39 year Civil Engineering career, he has worked in both the public and private sectors. He is a 2006 graduate of the Florida Engineering Leadership Institute. Mr. Brobst is currently working with CBRE Group, Inc. as a Senior Project Manager and is assigned to Florida Power & Light’s Corporate Real Estate office in Juno Beach, Florida.
Mr. Brobst has been on the Palm Beach County Seminole Board since 1996 and has served as the Chairman of the Club’s New Student Reception for the past 18 years. He served as a steering committee member for the FSU Film School in West Palm Beach.
Mr. Brobst has served on the FSU Alumni Association National Board of Directors since 2009. He has been a member of the Seminole Boosters for the last 34 years.
A native of Washington, D.C., Mr. Brobst currently resides in Jupiter, Florida, with his wife, Melody. They have two children, Alexandria and Parker. Alexandria graduated from FSU in 2014 with dual degrees in finance and economics, and currently lives in New York City.
