Joseph Mahshie has displayed an admirable work ethic through his impressive career trajectory from FSU to the Times Square to the White House. After graduating from FSU’s Sports Management program, Mahshie served as assistant director of alumni programming for the FSU Alumni Association. He then made the move to New York City, where he worked as an associate marketing manager at McGraw Hill. Soon after, Mahshie made his childhood dream come true by serving as an events manager for the Times Square Alliance, where he planned one of the biggest events in the world, the New Year’s Eve Times Square ball drop. After relocating to Washington, D.C., Mahshie worked as an event planner in the Visitor’s Center of the White House before landing his current position as the official trip coordinator for First Lady Michelle Obama.
