Native Floridian Samuel Ambrose attributes much of his professional success to the leadership skills that he learned while a student at Florida State University and during his tenure as advisor for the Student Alumni Foundation, during which he was instrumental in converting the organization into the current Student Alumni Association.
Mr. Ambrose is the vice president of sales for Blueoco Brands, a consumer product goods and brand development company, featuring ten different brands, with over 300 products sold in more than 5,000 retail locations nationwide. Previously, he was the chief sales and marketing officer for the Fort Lauderdale Strikers, South Florida’s legendary professional soccer team. In this role, Mr. Ambrose led all corporate sponsorship and media sales initiatives, broadcast media partnerships, and served as the executive producer of the team’s television and radio properties. He has also held leadership positions in marketing, sales, and business development with the Florida Panthers, Boston Market, Office Depot and multiple healthcare information technology companies.
Mr. Ambrose, a Lifetime member of the FSU Alumni Association, earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Florida State University College of Communication. In recognition of his service to Florida State University, Mr. Ambrose was inducted into the FSU Alumni Association’s Circle of Gold in 2016. He has been a member of the FSU Foundation’s Presidents Club since 2008 and received the FSU Alumni Service Award in 1991.
Mr. Ambrose is the past chairman of the board of ChildNet, a $65 million-dollar organization, which aims to protect abused, neglected and abandoned children in Broward County. He resides in Plantation, Florida, with his wife and two young children.
