FSU Alumni Association

Seminole Service Day

Mark your calendars for March 2019: the Eighth Annual Seminole Service Day!

You’re invited to volunteer with your local Seminole Club® during the month of March, 2019, as part of the FSU Alumni Association's Eighth Annual Seminole Service Day — a coordinated day of community service. Uphold the garnet and gold by pitching in on a service project in your community.

Service projects are being added daily, so check back often for a project near you.

Share your pictures! #SeminolesServe2019

* Please note that while the majority of projects will occur during the month of March, 2019, there are several projects that are occuring on a different date.

For so many alumni, Florida State University provided a great sense of community and offered many ways to get involved while they were students. In that light, Seminole Service Day gives our more than 350,000 alumni an opportunity to experience those things once again with their Seminole family. Serving with your local club or chapter is a great way to give back and represent our great university in a positive way.

A food desert is an area in which a majority of the residents have limited access to large retail stores with fresh food and grocery products. The residents in these neighborhoods live below the federal poverty level, as determined by the United States Government. Through our Mobile Food Pantries, individuals and families are able to access fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy, and bread that are so vital to maintaining a proper diet, as well as access to other services such as housing, employment, and wellness checks.
