First-Generation Alumni Network

The First-Generation Alumni Network aims to cultivate an engaged community of FSU first-generation alumni who actively promote the resilience of their peers, advocate for the distinct needs of first-generation alumni and students, and offer support through mentorship, events, and community-based initiatives.

As a recognized First Scholars Institution by the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), FSU is home to a thriving first-generation community. Currently, 25% of FSU’s undergraduates identify as students whose parents or legal guardians do not hold a bachelor’s degree. With more than 30,000 first-generation FSU alumni, including more than 17,000 who participated in CARE, this initiative seeks to cultivate an engaged and supportive community that promotes professional growth and philanthropy among FSU’s first-generation graduates.

If you would like to become more involved, please contact Robyn Stille, Senior Director of Student and Alumni Engagement in Colleges, Schools and Units at robyn.stille@advance.fsu.edu.
