Education B.S. ’93 Andrea K. Friall is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist, physician leader and dedicated advocate for medical education. A Florida native and Florida State University alumna, she earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from FSU, followed by a medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine and residency training at Tulane University.She began her career at North Florida Women’s Care in 2001, becoming the practice’s first female physician and helping develop it into a premier regional facility. She also serves as an associate clinical professor at the FSU College of Medicine. In 2016, she was named vice president and chief medical officer at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, a role she continues to hold while maintaining her clinical practice.Friall’s service to FSU includes nine years on the Foundation Board of Trustees, roles on presidential and dean search committees, and participation in advisory councils and campus events. She and her husband, fellow FSU alumnus Eric Friall, established the Walter T. King Scholarship in honor of her father to support first-generation medical students.
