Antonio L. Roca is managing director of Academica, the largest charter school support organization in the United States, serving more than 200 schools across 13 states and over 165,000 K–12 students. Additionally, Academica Virtual Education delivers educational content and services to students and institutions in more than 35 countries.

Recently recognized with the United States Presidential E Award, Academica International Studies’ innovative Dual Diploma program helps export U.S. education globally by enabling high school students around the world to earn an accredited U.S. high school diploma. Roca also leads the development and deployment of Colēgia, a digital education operating system (deOS) designed to connect and empower learning communities through integrated digital solutions.

Prior to joining Academica, Roca served for more than 15 years as president of Mater Academy, Inc., a nationally acclaimed network of high-performing charter schools. He earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from St. Thomas University School of Law in 2000 and his Bachelor of Science in Multinational Business, with a minor in economics, from Florida State University in 1997.

Roca is the founding partner of Roca Gonzalez, P.A., a law firm he established in 2016 with his wife Vivian R. Roca, Esq., and partner Eric A. Gonzalez, Esq. (FSU Class of 1997). The firm specializes in tax, real estate and corporate law, and now in its twentieth year, represents clients from around the world.

Mr. and Mrs. Roca have been happily married for over 23 years and have three sons. Their eldest, Antonio Matteo, is currently a sophomore at Florida State University majoring in finance. Roca is a lifelong Florida State University football fan and a proud Silver Chief alumnus.
