Title Ex-Officio Additional Notes Student Body President Carson Dale is the 80th student body president of Florida State University and serves as the only voting student member on the FSU Board of Trustees. Since arriving at Florida State, Dale has held leadership roles in the legislative and executive branches of the Student Government Association and has been a central figure in its fiscal governance. He has served on the SGA Budget Committee since his freshman year, helping to strategically allocate more than $40 million in activity and service fees toward student programming, services and facilities. In addition to his role at FSU, Dale serves as chairman of the Florida Student Association, the largest student advocacy and lobbying group in the country, representing over 430,000 students across Florida’s 12 public universities. In this capacity, he oversees statewide student initiatives, fundraising efforts and organizational operations. Dale also sits on the Florida Board of Governors, the 17-member governing body for the State University System, where he helps oversee university budgets, regulations and presidential appointments for institutions across the State University System. Dale is a Presidential Scholar and Social Science Scholar majoring in international affairs with a concentration in public administration. He is a member of Garnet and Gold Key and Order of Omega. He is also a founding father of the Theta Xi chapter of Delta Sigma Phi, where he served as vice president of recruitment. During his time with Delta Sigma Phi, he helped grow the chapter to over 40 founding members and led efforts that resulted in the highest GPA among all Interfraternity Council chapters for three consecutive semesters. Dale’s professional experience includes serving as a legal intern, policy researcher and undergraduate research fellow, contributing to work in constitutional law and local Tallahassee history. He has presented at a university-wide research showcase and supported campus-wide initiatives focused on student safety, emergency preparedness and affordability. Originally from Columbia, Missouri, Dale is passionate about public service, higher education policy and student empowerment. He plans to pursue a career in government, advocacy and law.
