Fátima Perez is director of state government affairs for Koch Inc., serving the Southeastern United States from Coral Gables, Florida, and Atlanta, Georgia. In her current role (November 2015–present), she represents Koch companies at the state and local level across the southern region, managing policy and regulatory priorities including tax, environmental, energy and other regulatory matters in states such as Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina. She coordinates cross-company strategy and knowledge sharing to advance public policy objectives and business interests. Prior to joining Koch, Perez held senior roles in government relations and public policy spanning municipal government, law firms, consulting and the private sector. She served as chief of staff for the City of Miami Beach (2014–2015), where she executed mayoral and commission directives and represented the city’s priorities in Tallahassee. As a partner at Southern Strategy Group (2012–2014) and public policy advisor in Akerman’s government affairs practice (2011–2012), she led legislative and executive-branch advocacy, strategic client advising and business development. Earlier roles include regional director, legislative & external affairs at AT&T Florida (2003–2011), senior advisor & intergovernmental affairs for the City of Miami (2002–2003), and senior legislative aide in the Florida Legislature (1997–2001). Across these positions she has developed deep expertise in legislative advocacy, stakeholder engagement, coalition building and public affairs strategy. Perez’s leadership and community engagement reflect a sustained commitment to public service and civic institutions.
