Education MSW '75 Guy Spearman is the founder and president of Spearman Management, a government relations firm based in Cocoa, Florida. Early in his career, he was recruited by Governor Reubin Askew to serve as an aide in the governor’s office. Over the past four decades, Spearman has represented clients across industries, including education, business and nonprofit organizations.Spearman has contributed significantly to the university through service on the Alumni Association National Board of Directors, the Seminole Boosters Board, and the College of Social Work Advisory Council.Together with his wife, Delores, Spearman established the Guy and Delores Spearman Endowed Professorship and has supported scholarships, facilities, and athletic programs—creating opportunities for future generations of students. His leadership, philanthropy and commitment to FSU have been recognized with honors, including the Faculty Senate’s Torch Award and the Alumni Association’s Circle of Gold.
