Title National Outreach Director Ibis Alcala (B.S. ’13), a proud Miami native and the eldest daughter of Peruvian immigrants, has built a meaningful and accomplished career in accounting, auditing and leadership. Deeply connected to her Peruvian heritage, she is a strong advocate for her community and carries her culture with pride. She holds dual citizenship with Peru and earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Science from Florida State University in 2013, completing minors in biology, psychology and child development, followed by a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of West Florida in 2018. During her time at FSU, Alcala was involved in Alpha Chi Sigma and the Corazón Dancers, blending academic engagement with cultural expression. Alcala’s career reflects a strong commitment to public service, with key roles across Florida’s state government in the Department of Health, Division of Administrative Hearings and Department of Financial Services. There, she contributed to statewide projects and initiatives that strengthened financial and operational processes. Now back in Miami, she serves as a senior auditor at Florida International University. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Alcala values family, friendship and her wonderful senior dogs.
