Jason Moore graduated from Florida State University in 1972 with a degree in marketing management and earned his MBA in health administration from the University of Florida in 1976. He also served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves as a medical administrative specialist and later shared his expertise as an adjunct professor of health administration at Florida Atlantic University.
Moore’s career in healthcare leadership included senior administrative roles at hospitals across Florida and Georgia. He served as chief operating officer at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare for nine years before retiring. His leadership also extended to University Hospital in Augusta, Georgia; Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia; Broward Health’s Coral Springs Medical Center and Imperial Point Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale; and Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.
A Life Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Moore also served as chairman of the Association of Voluntary Hospitals of Florida.
He is married to Vivian Moore, a former FSU nursing instructor. Together, they have two sons, two daughters (three of whom graduated from FSU) and 12 grandchildren.
