Education B.S. ’93, J.D. ’96 Jennifer Collins, a two-time graduate of Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree and a Juris Doctorate, has made significant contributions to both the university and the state of Florida through her leadership, advocacy and public service. She began her legal career as an assistant attorney general in Tallahassee and has since lived and served in communities across Florida, including Jacksonville, Boynton Beach and Tampa.Collins has extensive experience in development, fundraising and child advocacy. She founded and served as the inaugural chair of the FSU Parents & Family Advancement Council, where she helped foster a strong sense of community among families and strengthened their connection to the university’s mission. She also serves on the International Programs Council, encouraging global engagement among students and families.Her commitment to public service is reflected in her roles on the Attorney General’s Statewide Council on Human Trafficking, where she chairs the Education and Awareness Committee, and the Florida Public Service Nominating Commission. Collins is also active in the Commission on the Status of Women and volunteers with organizations including Meals on Wheels, Christ the King Catholic Church, local high schools and as a Guardian ad Litem representing children in foster care.Collins exemplifies the values of leadership, service and community engagement that define Florida State University.
