Education B.S.’ 78 Larry Hogan served as the 62nd governor of Maryland from 2015 to 2023. During his tenure, he oversaw a $60 billion annual budget and led a workforce of more than 60,000 state employees. He also served as commander in chief of the Maryland National Guard and chaired the Board of Public Works.Hogan chaired the National Governors Association from 2019 to 2020, where he helped coordinate national efforts on infrastructure and public health. He also served as chair of the Chesapeake Bay Commission and co-chair of No Labels, a national organization focused on bipartisan collaboration.Before entering public office, Hogan spent nearly two decades in the private sector, founding The Hogan Companies in 1985, a real estate brokerage and development firm. He previously served as Maryland’s secretary of appointments from 2003 to 2007 under Gov. Bob Ehrlich.A graduate of Florida State University, Hogan earned a bachelor’s degree in government and political science in 1978.
