Mahogany B. Campbell is the director of business management at NextEra Energy, Inc., a leading clean energy company. Campbell is responsible for the overall P and L management of over 50 NextEra generating renewable assets. She drives strategic decision-making with respect to assets including hedging, operations and maintenance, and she identifies opportunities and analyzes impact on the company financials to maximize P and L profitability.

Prior to her current role, Campbell was director of operations at Trans Bay Cable (NEET), where she was responsible for directing the safe, reliable and cost-effective operations of transmission, substation, protection and control operations for transmission assets in the west coast region.

Campbell has served in various other roles within FPL and NextEra Energy Resources (NEER), including power delivery general manager of reliability, distribution area manager, operations leader – FPL and NEER, operations specialist – PGD, technical services transformer principle engineer and protection & controls engineer. Campbell joined FPL in 2002 and has worked at NextEra Energy for over 20 years.

Campbell is a Florida State University Alumni Association legacy life member, vice president and board member of Project Pink and Green Foundation, Inc., and chairman of the Diversity and Inclusion Council for FAMU/FSU’s College of Engineering. She also leads racial equity initiatives for NexteraEnergy. As a student at Florida State University, Campbell was involved in various organizations and selected as president of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Campbell holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from FSU and is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt. She currently resides in Jupiter, Florida, with her husband Keino and son Chase Alexender. She enjoys volunteering, mentoring, traveling and anything dealing with numbers.
