Education B.S. ’05 Title West Central Florida Regional Chair Roberto Torres (B.S. ’05) is the co-founder and managing partner of Black & Denim Apparel Company and Blind Tiger Coffee Roasters. An entrepreneur with expertise across accounting, audit, operations, logistics and financial services, Torres has built a strong career supporting startups and growing companies, bringing both executive leadership and consulting experience to guide strategic, operational and expansion efforts. Over the past 17 years, Torres has worked across retail, apparel, merchandising and technology, helping numerous businesses scale and succeed. Black & Denim reflects his vision as a lifestyle brand rooted in Americana, music and lifestyle, while Blind Tiger Coffee Roasters, founded in November 2014 in Ybor City, has grown into a speakeasy-inspired coffee concept with locations across South Tampa, Westchase, Downtown Tampa, Brandon, St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital and International Plaza. The café offers coffee, tea and a full-service breakfast and lunch menu. A proud Seminole, Torres earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in accounting and finance from Florida State University. He is also deeply engaged in his community, serving in leadership and advisory roles with organizations including the Hispanic Services Council, Tampa Bay Economic Development Council, Feeding Tampa Bay and the City of Tampa’s Barrio Latino Commission.
