The FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY ALUMNI AWARDS is a signature event during homecoming that celebrates the notable accomplishments of our alumni. At this event, the Alumni Association recognizes alumni and friends of FSU who have personified excellence through their service and achievements.
The BERNARD F. SLIGER AWARD is the highest honor bestowed upon alumni by the Alumni Association to a member of the university community.
The CIRCLE OF GOLD AWARD recognizes worthy individuals who exemplify the Alumni Association’s core values of tradition, leadership, family, spirit and greatness.
The INSPIRE AWARD recognizes alumnae who have distinguished themselves as leaders within their industry and whose hard work and determination serve as an inspiration to young alumni and current students at Florida State University.
The REUBIN O'D. ASKEW YOUNG ALUMNI AWARD is the highest honor bestowed upon alumni under age 35. This award recognizes outstanding accomplishments built on the foundation of the nominee’s education from Florida State University.

The TRADITIONS BBQ is one of the Student Alumni Association’s (SAA) signature events. Occurring annually during the fall semester as part of Welcome Week, this event reaches hundreds of students as they learn about the history and traditions of FSU.
The AWAY GAME WATCH PARTY is an event hosted by SAA while our football team is on the road. Students feel the atmosphere and energy of a home game while cheering on the Seminoles.
100 DAYS ’TIL GRADUATION is an annual event with tabling partners from across campus where students have the opportunity to hear more about all the resources available to them as they prepare to graduate.
The SEMINOLES FOREVER FESTIVAL celebrates our soon-to-be alumni as they prepare for graduation. It’s our way of saying “Congratulations, and welcome to the FSU alumni family.”

Founded in 1974, the EMERITI ALUMNI SOCIETY is a constituency organization of the Florida State University Alumni Association organized to encourage the continued interest and participation of alumni who graduated from the university 50 or more years ago. During FSU’s Homecoming, the Emeriti Society holds a reunion weekend, which includes a welcome luncheon to kick off the festivities and an induction and awards lunch to conclude the weekend.
