Education B.S. ’19, M.S. ’21 Courtney Caswell rejoined the Florida State athletic department in May 2025 as the director of football finance. A Tallahassee native and two-time Florida State University alumna, she brings extensive collegiate athletics operations and finance experience to the role. Most recently, Caswell served as director of operations for Navy Baseball. In her first season (2024), she was instrumental in helping Chuck Ristano’s team reach the Patriot League Championship Series for the first time since 2019, and in 2025, she contributed to Navy reclaiming the coveted Star Series over rival Army for the first time since 2021. Her responsibilities included coordinating all team travel and managing on campus recruiting operations. Before joining Navy, Caswell spent four seasons with Florida State Baseball. She initially worked in alumni relations and fundraising and concluded her tenure as the recruiting & quality control analyst for the 2023 season. In that role, she oversaw recruiting compliance, video technology integration, player development and MLB Draft analysis. As an undergraduate, she served as president of the Seminoles’ Bat Girls organization and interned with both Florida State Football and Baseball. She was also honored as a member of the 2019 FSU Homecoming Court. A fifth-generation graduate of Florida State, Caswell earned her bachelor’s degrees in mass communication/media studies and sport management in 2019, followed by a master’s degree in sport management in 2021.
