Mitchell Budihas

Mitchell Budihas has been with the Florida Division of Emergency Management for the past two years as the Bureau Coordinator, Planner, and Planning Manager. He has previously worked in Statewide Law Enforcement Intelligence with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission assisting in crime intelligence operations, financial and wildlife crimes investigations, and Captive Wildlife Licensing. He serves on the board of both the Young Alumni Network Council and the Veterans Alumni Network Board. He possesses a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from the University of Kansas. He served in the US Army as an Infantry Officer from May 2017 to January 2021, as a Company Operations Officer and Headquarters Company Executive Officer. He rejoined the military in March 2026 and now serves as a Supply Corps Officer in the US Navy Reserves at Naval Air Station Jacksonville. Additionally, he possesses a Master of Science in International Affairs (Studies in US Foreign Policy, Intelligence Policy, and Emergency Management) and is currently working on a Master of Public Administration from Florida State University.
