Education BSW ’20, MSW ’21 Location Hamilton, NY Additional Notes Assistant Director of First@Colgate, Colgate University From entering college uncertain about what the experience would hold to earning two degrees from Florida State University within five years, Tabisha’s journey reflects the transformative impact of opportunity, community, and support. As a first-generation college student, Tabisha began her journey at Florida State University in 2016 through the Center for Academic Retention and Enhancement (CARE). During her time at FSU, she became deeply involved in campus life and community engagement, building meaningful relationships and finding a passion for helping others navigate their own educational journeys. Her involvement earned her recognition as a member of the inaugural Seminole Torchbearer 100, a recipient of the National Pan-Hellenic Council Impact Award, and later, an inductee into the CARE Hall of Fame. Tabisha earned her bachelor’s degree in social work in 2020 and continued her education at FSU, earning her master’s degree in social work in 2021. Since graduating, her professional journey has spanned social services and higher education, with much of her work centered on supporting first-generation students and students from historically underserved backgrounds. Drawing from her own experiences, Tabisha is passionate about creating supportive environments, connecting students with opportunities and resources, and helping young people recognize what is possible for their futures. Now based in Boston, Tabisha continues to carry forward the community, mentorship, and support that shaped her own journey. Directory Young Alumni
