“At Florida State, I had professors who challenged me to go into positions of leadership, and it was through the plethora of opportunities that I realized the importance of servant leadership,” said Arinaitwe. “Florida State afforded me the education, both academically and in leadership, to be able to return to my country in Africa.”
James Kassaga Arinaitwe (B.S. '09, MPH '11) was one of four recipients of the Reubin O'D. Askew Award honored during the Young Alumni Award Dinner in Tallahassee, Fla. on Friday, November 3, 2017.
